Strawberry Salsa

Strawberry Salsa

This fun twist on regular salsa swaps out the tomato for strawberries! You can eat this wonderful salsa plain with a spoon, mix it into a salad, or scoop it into lettuce leaves, bell pepper halves, or onto cucumber slices. However you enjoy it, you’ll find that this salsa is refreshing and a wonderful combination of sweet and savory.

Berries are true brain food. Not only are they B12-enhancing; they have the power to help with brain disorders and diseases, including brain cancer, ALS, Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke, aneurysm, and migraines.

This recipe comes from Brain Saver Protocols, Cleanses & Recipes, the companion book to Medical Medium Brain Saver. These two essential books about our most complex organ—the brain—dive deep into why people all over the world are suffering with mental health and brain-related symptoms and conditions. Brain Saver unveils the why behind more than 100 brain- and nervous system–related symptoms, diseases, and disorders; Brain Saver Protocols, Cleanses & Recipes reveals the truth about how to heal in even more detail (including cleanses, recipes, supplement protocols, and so much more).

Strawberry Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped strawberries
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red or white onions
  • 2 tbsps finely chopped jalapeño (preferably red)
  • ¼ cup loosely packed cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsps freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tbsp raw honey (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Atlantic dulse flakes, to taste (optional)

Directions:

Add the strawberries, onions, jalapeño, cilantro leaves, lime juice, raw honey (if using), garlic powder, and Atlantic dulse flakes (if using) to a large bowl.

Stir until the ingredients are evenly mixed. Cover and marinate for 20 to 25 minutes in the fridge.

Serve immediately or keep refrigerated until needed.

Tips:

  • Remove the greens from the strawberries before using. Read why in Brain Saver Protocols, Cleanses & Recipes.
  • Depending on how sweet your strawberries are, you may need to add some extra raw honey to the recipe.
  • Marinating the salsa in the fridge intensifies the flavor, so don’t skip this step.
